Stage lighting can provide the audience with a better viewing experience, and there is no doubt that stage lighting plays a significant role in performance. To achieve good performance through collaborative lighting, it is necessary to have a deeper understanding of various commonly used lighting positions.
A. Surface light
The light is projected from the front onto the performance area in front of the stage, and the lamp position that illuminates the actor's face is called face light. It can achieve ubiquitous brightness, eliminate "dead corners" that are prone to occur in the picture, and adjust the light ratio to increase or decrease contrast to achieve equalization and avoid partial exposure deficiency. Therefore, surface light can only serve as the fundamental lighting and color tone, and does not play the primary role on stage. It cannot become the main light and shape the image.
B. Side low level surface light (cantilever light)
The platform lighting is generally set at the front end of the second floor of the audience seat, which can add the overall brightness of the front of the stage. The floodlights can illuminate the stage and the parts of the audience seat close to the stage.
Tiaotai lighting can provide auxiliary lighting for television broadcasting and conference news reporting. The light is projected from both sides and low positions directly onto the stage performance area, which is a supplement to "surface lighting".
C. Ear slap (on the outside of the table)
The light shining from the side towards the stage performance area is called a left and right slap, respectively. To enhance the three-dimensional sense of characters and scenery, form the lighting effect of the front side, and create a shaping effect. If the light ratio in the dark is appropriately combined, it can also achieve a rich and powerful shaping effect.
The perspective of a person is the most dynamic in changing the light on the side, which is the main light on the illuminated surface of the character and scenery, and an important aspect of the design; The main focus is on design, with lighting as a supplement. In order to achieve straight lighting, there should be no less than 2 lights horizontally.
Two or more rows of ear slaps with the same color are projected together. High directional lights usually project the high beam area, while low directional lights usually project the low beam area.
